Jesse McCartney is promoting his new EP "In Technicolor Part 1", which contains four songs in the style "pop-seventies."

The singer has released one of the songs that will be on the album, "Back Together" last month, and revealed that only now have time to focus on the new project. "I've been busy, but I'm finally ready to release new music," said the singer of 26 years.

The EP is a preparation for the fifth studio album of the star which, he said, is expected to launch in "April or May 2014."

Three years ago, McCartney resigned from Hollywood Records, which led him to fame with "Beautiful Soul", and is now under the care of Eight0Eight Records. "They have been amazing and liberating," he said of the new record.

The singer will be performing in the pre-show at the American Music Awards on Nov. 24, and his new EP "In Technicolor Part 1" hits the market on December 10.
